§ 98-1. Adoption of rules and regulations; erection of traffic signs and signals.

  • The mayor and the chief of police shall, subject to the approval of the city commission, make rules and regulations relating to the control of traffic by designating through streets, designating stop signs and signals, marking off and designating parking spaces and the length of time for parking on specified streets, and by the erection of traffic signs and signals in the city. Such rules and regulations shall be of the same force and effect as if provided for specifically by ordinances and any violation thereof shall be unlawful.
