§ 74-122. Information to be furnished by applicant.

  • Before the permit is issued, the applicant shall supply in writing for the permanent records of the city his name, age, nationality and race, and how long he has been employed for the charity that he purports to represent. In addition such person shall supply written evidence from the charitable or benevolent corporation he is said to represent, which evidence shows that he is at the present time employed by such charitable or benevolent organization. Should a charitable or benevolent organization that is unknown or of a new origin apply for a permit to collect funds or donations of any kind, it shall also supply in writing a statement of where such organization was organized, where its chief office is located, and for what purpose it solicits funds, and also whether or not any federal agency, state, city or town has supervision of its expenditures, or whether the public is fully apprized of the manner in which the donations are to be distributed.
