§ 54-9. Installation of connections with water mains prior to street paving.

All owners of land abutting any and all streets of the city that may be paved shall at least 30 days prior to the paving have all connections with the water mains abutting their respective land on such streets and all joints of such connecting pipes out to and beyond the curbing placed and in good condition at the expense of the owner of such abutting land. If the property owner refuses or neglects to have such connections and joints placed within the time provided in this section, the city commission shall have such connections made and placed in good condition; the cost of such connections and joints shall constitute a lien on the property so connected.
